Image to WebP Converter
Convert one image or many to WebP at the quality you choose, then download the results.
One or many. Drop them here or paste with ⌘V / Ctrl+V.
Runs on your device. Images are converted on a canvas in your browser and aren't uploaded.
Supported files
- Most image files your browser can open: PNG, JPEG, GIF, WebP, AVIF, BMP, ICO and SVG. HEIC and TIFF only work where the browser itself can open them.
- Photos keep their correct orientation, and transparency is kept.
- Metadata such as the camera and location isn't copied into the WebP.
- Animated GIFs keep only their first frame.
- SVGs are drawn at their own size, or 1,024 px on the longest side when they don't set one.
- Very large images are scaled down to at most 50 megapixels and 16,383 px a side.
- Making WebP files needs Chrome, Edge or Firefox; Safari can't make them.
Higher keeps more detail; lower makes smaller files. It applies to every image.
